5일 금영엔터테인먼트는 문자 음성 변환 프로그램(Text to Speech·TTS)의 일종인 읽어주는 노래방 서비스를 오는 5월 출시할 계획이라고 밝혔다. 읽어주는 노래방은 TV나 모니터 화면에 나오는 가사를 읽던 기존 방식에서 탈피해 음원 속 목소리가 선창한 가사를 따라 부르는 방식의 서비스다.

가사를 읽지 못하는 시각장애인이나 장거리 운전자 등에게 인기를 끌 것으로 기대된다. 한국어 가사를 모르는 외국인 K팝 팬도 쉽게 한국어 노래를 따라 부를 수 있다. 금영엔터테인먼트는 우선 인기곡 1만여 개로 읽어주는 노래방 데이터베이스를 구축했다. SK텔레콤 인공지능(AI) 스피커 누구(NUGU)를 시작으로, 내비게이션 앱인 티맵 등에 탑재될 예정이다. 금영엔터테인먼트 자체 앱도 개발해 서비스한다. 읽어주는 노래방이 가사를 알려주는 방식도 다양하다.

가장 기본적으로는 노래 가사가 나오기 직전에 기계 음성이 선창해 알려주는 방식이 있다. 많은 팬덤(가수를 좋아하는 사람)을 보유한 아이돌 가수는 가수 목소리를 직접 활용해 가사를 읽어주도록 할 계획이다. 노래를 부르지 않아도 가수가 가사를 읽어주는 콘텐츠 자체를 즐길 팬도 많을 것으로 기대된다. 가사를 선창하기 어려운 빠른 노래는 성우나 개그맨 등이 추임새를 넣어주는 방식을 도입할 예정이다. 가사가 빨라 노래를 부르기 어려워도 추임새를 통해 노래를 즐길 수 있도록 하는 것이다.

칸타레 스튜디오는 접수·컨설팅, 음원 제작, 녹음, CD 제작 등 일반적인 녹음 서비스는 물론이고 녹음한 노래를 바로 금영 노래방 반주기에 등록할 수 있도록 했다. 지난해 10월 금영엔터테인먼트는 스마트 콘텐츠 디바이스 `쥬크5`를 출시했다. 쥬크5는 시간과 장소에 구애받지 않고 노래를 부를 수 있도록 출시된 제품이다. 온라인 플랫폼을 통해 자신이 노래하는 모습을 실시간으로 녹음·녹화해 공유할 수 있다.
